Who we are? - The Rio Film School www.riofilmschool.com was launched in 2010 to offer comprehensive and unique intensive training in visual arts both in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil and now London, UK. We work with and support various communities in Rio de Janeiro as well as the crew and cast of the film City of God and we donate and help raise funds for our production and charity partner in Brazil Cinema Nosso www.cinemanosso.org.br Why Rio de Janeiro? - Rio de Janeiro is immensely culturally rich and extremely diverse. It is one of the most important and recognized cities in the world and offers so much to the visitor from, natural beauty and stunning geography mountains, beaches and jungle, to one of the richest cultural scenes in the world with amazingly talented up and coming and established artists, musicians, film makers, writers poets and much more.

Despite international fame, much of what Rio de Janeiro has to offer is not openly available to the general visitor and the partnership between Rio Film School and Cinema Nosso literally opens up the doors to the city in a way no other concept does. Our structure enables filming to take place all over the city, from favelas such as Vigario Geral and Cidade de Deus (City of God), to Lapa, Santa Teresa, Pedra do Sal and Jardin Botanico. As a result of our complete integration with Rio de Janeiro our production is literally unparalleled....especially at educational level!
